2014 Best Fireworks Displays:

It's that time of year again. Kids are in bed, the dogs are asleep, and you are sitting in your nice, big, comfy sofa sippin' down the last remaining A&W Cream soda, remote ready to catch the highlights of the Twins-Yankees game on SportCenter.

And then it happens. Bursts of light and fire flood the sky with reverberating thunder. Car alarms rage, the dogs wail like Miley Cyrus, and your kids are now pulling an all-nighter. But heck. It’s America’s freakin’ birthday. Who are you to tell everyone else to quit celebrating their freedom?

Exactly.  So, with that said, here is the 2014 official list of 2014 best Firework displays of 2014.

5. Grandma Border’s Sparkler Display

You might argue against this, but trust me, had you seen it…

4. That one time in our back cul-de-sac

I had to clean up the next morning. There was no way other displays were bigger. It took me like two hours to get those stupid white popper wrap things cleaned up.

3. The Baker’s neighborhood extravaganza

You probably were there. Along with every person known to man. Seriously. It’s like everyone on earth knows about it. And they still show up! Just like you did.

2.  The one place in Washington

You know. The one with letters after it, and a big house that hasn’t been painted anything but plain, ol’ white. Who keeps hiring that guy?

1. The 2014 Melaleuca Freedom Celebration

We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later. After nearly a decade of being stuck in the #2 spot, here -without even a stinkin’ picture- we finally made it. See, this is what happens when all 50k residents of Idaho Falls post what we know as the best display in America, over and over again on Facebook. We finally get heard. We finally get taken seriously. We finally get what we’ve all wanted from the beginning.

It’s our turn to Celebrate! Bring out the Roman Candles!
